Now the Owl Bay Spring has been mentioned several times on these photo pages, so I think it is appropriate to tell you something about it. This is where it is.
The Owl Bay Spring was considered sacred already in ancient times. It has been known for its good and healthy water. People made a pilgrimage here especially on the evening of the Trinity. In 1902, the octagonal pavilion was built. In the 1970s, the water was considered polluted and undrinkable. Now there are plans to renovate the spring so that the water will be drinkable again.

In a small house here by the Hare Pavilion, some participants in the 1912 Olympics cooked their own meals. Today it is a nice summer cafe.
